LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT (BIBLE COLLAGE):

 Uganda is a very good Country reach in many areas. And the people in Uganda love the lord and their response to the message of Christ is still positive. As we have a heart of reaching out to the unsaved with the message of salvation, after these people have given their lives to Christ they will fall in the hands of leaders who don’t know what to do. And in so doing some of those people will end up going back in the world. In our country today the religious people like the Anglicans, Catholics and the Moslems are very organized simply because before they entered leadership they had to go for training. So it is one of our key targets that we train leaders who will lead Churches effectively in this modern generation. We have both short term and long term training programs. The short term programs take six months and the student is given an award of a Certificate in Christian Leadership. Then we have the long term program which takes two years of intensive learning and thereafter are given an award of an Advanced Diploma in Theology. The name of our Collage is called Calvary Bible Institute. We have so far graduated two classes with Advanced Diplomas in Theology and we have also graduated three classes in Certificate in Christian Leadership.

 SOME OF THE CHALLENGES WE FACE IN OUR BIBLE INSTITUTE:

We have been trying hard to make awareness to our Christian Leaders of the need for Leadership training. Many of our people have been having a negative attitude towards Bible training. Many thought Bible Collages are meant to be for religious Churches like Anglicans or Catholics. But of recent people are beginning to have a desire to study. However, those who have shown interest in the training, again they have a problem of raising the money for tuition for the Collage. The facility we are using for the Collage is rented. And most of the time the people who are interested in Bible Training are those who don’t have any profession and most of the time you find that they even don’t have permanent jobs. And so that means that they will not be able to pay for the Collage dues. General operations of the collage: This involves feeding of the students, medical, Stationary, Salaries and Wages for the workers etc. All that requires funding and our funds can’t help us to meet all the above needs. We also are looking forward to have our own property for the Collage. Because if we continue renting we shall not be building an institution for a life time but we shall be building an institute for a short term. I therefore appeal to all those friends who have the same vision like us.
